Inspection & Testing of An Electrical Installation

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This short course is designed for Electricians, in particular Electricians involved in the inspection and testing of electrical installations. This course is designed to comply with “The IET  Wiring Regulations (UK) 17th Edition BS 7671:2008.”

PRE-COURSE REQUIREMENTS & TARGET GROUP

Suitable for electrical technicians within the age group 18 years and above who require upskilling.  OND/HND holders and Engineering graduates requiring technical knowledge within the electrical trade.

COURSE DURATION

The course is 3 days, (8:00 am – 5:00 pm) with a class size of 12.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

On successful completion of this course each trainee  will have a comprehensive understanding of the  following:

• Understand why an installation requires  inspection and testing
• Identify the correct test instruments to use and  how to use them
• Perform a visual inspection
• Perform tests in the correct order and do so  safely
• Perform all the tests required by The IET Wiring  Regulations 17TH Edition BS 7671:2008
• Identify hazards involved in testing
• Interpret and record the information correctly
