Hybrid Solar Mini-Grid Tour

Our Solar PV trainees recently toured the Solar Hybrid Mini-grid in Gbamugbamu, Ijebu-East Local Government, Lagos State, Nigeria.

The Mini grid, under the management of Rubitec Solar, powers up to 346 households, 91 small stores and 21 public buildings. The configuration of the mini-grid is 85 kWp; solar photovoltaic modules, 67 kVA; diesel generator, 85kW; inverter, 311kWh; battery storage, along 5.6 km of low voltage grid.

The tour of this famous location provided our trainees with a more solid understanding of solar installations and opened their minds to the great potential of solar usage in powering local communities.
